  • Tap-to-Win Game According to a recent whitepaper from Hamster Kombat, participants would receive 60% of the token airdrop.
  • Originally scheduled to happen this month, the Hamster Kombat team claimed they are "actively working on making the airdrop happen," claiming it will be the biggest airdrop in cryptocurrency history.
  • The developers of the game stated in a Telegram message that it is now "impossible to predict" when the airdrop will occur because of technical difficulties.

The developers of the Telegram tap-to-earn game Hamster Kombat have published a new whitepaper detailing the project's tokenomics, providing further insight into what may turn out to be one of the most well-known token airdrops in recent memory.

In their whitepaper, the Hamster Kombat team stated that the game currently had 300 million users and that they were preparing the "largest airdrop in the history of crypto". Sixty percent of the next token airdrop will be "dedicated" to gamers, according to the whitepaper.

The Hamster Kombat whitepaper also said, "The remainder is reserved for providing market liquidity, ecosystem partnerships and grants, rewarding squads, and other items." Additionally, the creators of the game said that since venture capitalists and investment firms do not support Hamster Kombat, the game is not under "sell pressure."

The game had planned to release its first airdrop this month, but on Tuesday it revealed that the procedure of actually executing the drop is proving to be difficult. "The airdrop of Hamster tokens is a technically challenging project... The game's creators stated in an official Telegram channel, "We're not setting specific dates for the simple reason that it's impossible to predict the exact timeline for implementing this solution."

In the realm of cryptocurrency, Hamster Kombat has become somewhat of a mystery. Its unknown creators seem to have assembled a strong community of players in a remarkably short period of time, ready to collect token prizes by participating in the straightforward clicker game developed on The Open Network, or TON -4.86%, blockchain. It's unknown how many bots make up the total number of players on Hamster Kombat, but it seems like a lot of people are interested in the game.

The popularity of Notcoin, a clicker game hosted on Telegram, which airdropped over 80 billion NOT coins in May and was valued at over $1 billion at the time, helped the new game as well. The creators of Hamster Kombat recently informed The Block that their game was inspired by Notcoin's popularity.

Announcing on Tuesday that it has ambitions beyond this initial airdrop, Hamster Kombat described it as the "first step in building the Hamster ecosystem, which will extend far beyond the current game." According to the creators, there are 50 million active daily players of the game across 190 countries.

The developers of the game said in their whitepaper that there is "no need to sell team token allocations to pay the bills" and that Hamster Kombat is already a "profitable business."
